Job summary

Cardinal Health in La Vergne, TN, is seeking an inventory operations professional for accurate stock control and client support. Expect routine inventory audits, documentation checks, and coordination with multiple departments to meet daily and weekly KPIs.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a high school degree or GED, and flexibility for on-site work and occasional weekend on-call shifts. Training for equipment like forklifts will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in an operational or inventory role.
  • Customer service experience, preferred.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for entire shift.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and resolves count variances to ensure accurate inventory records and identify potential areas of improvement in the process
  • Communicates daily with clients via email to ensure all questions and concerns are addressed
  • Audits and verifies all inbound receipt documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Processes inventory moves and adjustments per client request
  • Works with all operational and business departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy for all daily and weekly tasks, including all KPIs
  • Participates in and runs client inventory audits
  • Flexibility to be on‑call to support weekend operations
  • Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider

Job Description

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (overtime per business needs)

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Compensation

Anticipated hourly range: $19.00 per hour – $19.60 per hour
