• Thorough knowledge of stock items and storage methods.

• Ability to train inmates and staff in equipment use and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records.
• Operate forklift and warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Authorize accuracy of all orders in storeroom and approve goods received.
• Contact vendors regarding partial shipments or misorders.
• Maintain detailed inventory records and item storage logs.
• Evaluate and improve recording and storage procedures as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable items.
• Make recommendations on equipment purchases and maintenance.
• Oversee and assemble equipment received in knocked down condition.
• May supervise inmates and staff assigned to the warehouse.
