The City of Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to oversee stock requisition, distribution, inventory control, and purchasing. This role also serves as a primary contact for external vendors and department staff.

The purpose of this job is to oversee inventory operations, including stock requisition and distribution, inventory control, and purchasing. Serves as an additional point of contact for outside vendors and department employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job.   • Supports internal crews with materials and tasks.
  • Manages material stock to verify accuracy.
  • Performs accurate physical inventory audits and spot checks.
  • Operates motorized equipment to load and unload equipment and materials.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs light building maintenance, janitorial duties, and assists with snow and ice removal.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in storeroom operations, inventory control, or a related field.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Forklift certification within 6 months of hire.
