Job summary

Maddox Industrial Transformer is seeking an Inventory Technician for a shop environment where you test and evaluate transformers, both dry-type and liquid-filled. You will work with a team of qualified technicians to ensure accurate results and safe handling of equipment.

You will use electrical test gear and power tools, document findings electronically, and operate forklifts/cranes to move transformers within the facility. Growth and stability are emphasized in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding, fabrication, general shop/mechanical skills is valued.
• Must be able to meet basic physical requirements for a heavy‑equipment environment; 90–100% on your feet.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test, evaluate, disassemble, and troubleshoot transformers.
• Electronically document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions and accessories for each transformer.
• Operate forklifts and cranes to organize inventory and unload transformers from trucks.
