Job summary

Maddox is seeking an Inventory Technician to test and evaluate dry-type and liquid-filled transformers in a shop setting. You will use electrical test equipment and power tools, document results, and help organize inventory with forklifts and cranes.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and a dependable work ethic in a fast-paced environment with a strong company culture.

Qualifications

• Welding, fabrication, and general shop/mechanical skills preferred.
• Willingness to train early-career candidates.
• Must meet physical requirements for heavy-equipment environment.
• Schedule: 40-45 hours/week, Mon-Fri 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test and evaluate transformers.
• Electronically document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories.
• Operate forklifts and cranes to organize inventory and unload transformers.
