Job summary

Avantor in Rio Rancho, NM is hiring for a site services role performing customized lab work and inventory tasks. The position reports to the site services supervisor and collaborates with Lab and Production Services to return time back to science.

The role runs 6 am–6 pm, Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, with a $17.60 hourly rate. Requires a high school diploma and 1+ years of experience; GMP exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of prior work experience required; experience in material handling and/or clean-room environment is a plus; GMP facility experience desired.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs; stand/walk most of the day; bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull.
  • Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams; maintain a professional, safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving of products at customer dock or other shipping/receiving point, including unpacking and de-trashing of materials if necessary.
  • Recording receipts of inventory against packing slips, including following up on any noted discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels both within Avantor storerooms and also at customer areas where back-stock of consumables is stored.
  • Transportation of consumables throughout the customer facility on wheeled carts, and stocking of POU locations based on required inventory.
  • Accurate transacting of stocking quantities by item and location utilizing a scanner and proprietary software, and downloading of transactions into our system as required to verify records capture and order generation.
  • Monitor and engage in regular POU audits for proper signage, including items, min/max levels, contact information, and maintain a record of changes to items and quantities as needed.
  • Serve as the point person for customer communications of any inventory availability issues and/or concerns, as well as a defined escalation path.
  • Support Special Projects such as tours and other non-standard activities onsite.
  • Meet all scheduling requirements of the role, including performing any other duties/tasks assigned.

Job description

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the site services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $17.60 | Shift: 6 am – 6 pm, Sunday – Tuesday and every other Wednesday | Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience: 1+ years of prior work experience required, experience in material handling and/or working in a clean-room environment is a plus. Previous experience working in a GMP facility is desired.
  • Physical: Able to lift 50 lbs; spend a majority of the day standing and walking; bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull.
