Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Materials Management Technician to support the inventory, receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. You will assist in coordinating shifts and ensuring accurate data entry for stock movements, while maintaining clean work areas.
You will perform cycle counts, use hand-held devices or the materials management information system, and help prepare items for shipping as needed.
As our Materials Management Technician, you will help the Manager or Supervisor to coordinate shifts, staffing, work assignments and schedules to ensure an efficient and productive team.
Every day you will be responsible for disinfecting medical equipment and procedure carts according to department procedures. The technician receives, stores, issues, and delivers medical supplies and equipment, and prepares equipment and supplies for shipping when necessary. This role includes performing daily counts of par-level locations using hand-held technology or the materials management information system, as well as entering data for stock items issued from inventory. The technician maintains all hospital inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly condition and participates in the inventory and cycle-counting process as outlined by departmental procedures.
