Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is seeking a detail-oriented team member in Chandler, AZ. You will handle receiving, stocking, and inventory transactions, supporting 500+ customers across biopharma and education sectors.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience.
• Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Receiving products at customer dock or shipping/receiving point, unpacking as needed.
• Recording receipts of inventory against packing slips and following up on discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels in storerooms and at customer areas.
• Transporting consumables within the customer facility and stocking POU locations.
• Using a scanner and proprietary software to transact stocking quantities and download transactions.
• Conducting regular POU audits for proper signage and record changes as needed.
• Serving as the point of contact for inventory availability issues and escalation path.
• Supporting special projects such as tours and non-standard activities onsite.
• Meeting scheduling requirements and performing other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the supervisor of site services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $18.60

Location: Chandler, AZ

Shifts : 6 am - 6 pm, Wednesday - Saturday, and every other Thursday

What we’re looking for

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

• Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Receiving of products at customer dock or other shipping/receiving point, including unpacking and de-trashing of materials if necessary.
• Recording receipts of inventory against packing slips, including following up on any noted discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels both within Avantor storerooms and also at customer areas where back-stock of consumables is stored.
• Transportation of consumables throughout the customer facility on wheeled carts, and stocking of POU locations based on required inventory. The schedule for each POU may be multiple times per day, daily, or less frequently.
• Accurate transacting of stocking quantities by item and location utilizing a scanner and proprietary software, and downloading of transactions into our system as required to verify records capture and order generation.
• Monitor and engage in regular POU audits for proper signage, including items, min/max levels, contact information, and maintain a record of changes to items and quantities as needed.
• Serve as the point person for customer communications of any inventory availability issues and/or concerns, as well as a defined escalation path.
• Support Special Projects such as tours and other non-standard activities onsite.
• Meet all scheduling requirements of the role, including performing any other duties/tasks assigned.
