Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead the Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) Systems Team within the Dealer Aftermarket Collaboration (DAC) organization.

This role oversees design, performance, and data reporting for the PIC solution and analytics suite, interfacing with Dealer parts teams worldwide. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, operational excellence, and long-term sustainment of data flows, with a focus on team leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, data science, computer science, supply chain, industrial engineering, math, stats, econ, or similar technical subject matter
• Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools and processes
• Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
• Knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning for inventory across multiple plants
• Ability to plan and organize tasks and resources efficiently
• Knowledge of relationship management techniques with clients, vendors and peers
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles (MFG) and related processes
• Experience with data management and reporting tools (SQL, Snowflake, Power BI)
• Leadership experience on technical teams or projects
• Vendor-managed software solutions and data integration platforms expertise

Responsibilities

• Lead roadmap development and future-state design for PIC Solution and Data Analytics Suite
• Own PIC systems functionality, interfaces, data flows, and performance
• Manage vendor engagements, release planning, testing, and stakeholder communications
• Guide PIC Data Analytics Suite design, reporting, data stewardship, and modernization initiatives
• Provide leadership for Dealer ERP conversions and onboarding activities
• Prioritize data requests, develop solutions, and coordinate testing on PIC Systems
• Develop parts business knowledge and leadership skills within the PIC Systems team
• Provide direction on scope, prioritization, and technical guidance for projects
• Collaborate with PIC Analytics to develop data structures and reports
• Guide DAC partners on investigations and cross-functional problem-solving
• Regularly update DAC partners on PIC initiatives and operational updates
