Job summary

ADM is seeking a mid-level warehouse supervisor in Erlanger, KY for 2nd shift (2:00–10:30 PM, M-F). Some weekend work may be required. The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and efficient material handling under supervision.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of warehouse experience with previous supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety consciousness throughout the warehouse to prevent damage to products, equipment and facilities.
• Enforce all safety rules through observations.
• Assist in training and motivating personnel for greater effectiveness.
• Provide leadership in problem solving and direct the workforce to maximize efficiency.
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and disciplining subordinates.
• Lead by example and maintain safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, Food Safety, C-TPAT and SOPs.
• Train personnel in their area and cross-train in related positions.
• Coordinate material movement between Erlanger locations and interface with Production, Engineering and Quality Control.

This is a mid-level position which is part of the warehouse team supporting operations & supply chain.

Shift

• 2nd shift: 2:00–10:30 PM M-F (supervisor expected to arrive earlier/stay later as needed)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Ensure an attitude of safety consciousness throughout the warehouse including damage to product, equipment and the facility are prevented
• Enforce all Safety rules through safety observations
• Assists in training and motivating of personnel for increased effectiveness
• Provides leadership in regards to problem solving
• Directs work force to achieve maximum efficiency
• Applies sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and disciplining subordinates
• Leads by setting a good example
• Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment
• Ensures compliance to OSHA standards GMP regulations, Food Safety, C-TPAT and standard operating procedures
• Ensures all personnel are trained properly in their respective area, and cross-trained in other related positions within department
• Interfaces closely with Production, Engineering and Quality Control
• Coordinates material movement between Erlanger locations

SUPERVISION:

• This is a moderately supervised position.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 8+ years’ experience in warehouse environment with previous supervision
• Proven Leadership and Interpersonal skills
• Computer skills (database, spreadsheets, processing software) and Math skills
• Self-motivated commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to excel within high-risk and fast paced work environment
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
