Job summary

Filterbuy is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse operations at our Ogden, UT facility. The role leads a team to maintain accurate records, improve processes, and ensure FIFO storage practices.

You will report to the Plant Manager and work Monday to Friday, with OT as needed. Requires 3+ years in inventory control and 1+ year supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of inventory control experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily inventory control activities and inventory personnel.
  • Lead and coordinate cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP system.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Production, and Purchasing to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO) and storage practices.
  • Monitor damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Analyze inventory trends and prepare inventory reports for leadership.
  • Train, coach, and develop inventory team members.
  • Establish productivity and accuracy expectations for the inventory team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Participate in warehouse projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with system implementations and inventory process enhancements as needed.

Duration: Full-time

Salary: $50–60k DOE

Filterbuy is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, inventory control processes, and warehouse inventory operations. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory integrity, optimizing inventory movement, minimizing discrepancies, and leading a team responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across the facility.

The ideal candidate has experience in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a proven ability to lead inventory teams while driving continuous process improvements.

This role will report to the Plant Manager at our Ogden location, Monday to Friday with OT as needed.

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Constant walking, standing, and working on feet (10hr shift). On average 15,000 to 25,000 steps a day.
  • Consistently perform repetitive actions that entail frequent grasping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and pivoting.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect parts produced.
  • This position works in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment. Temperatures vary with outdoor conditions and may be hot in summer and cold in winter.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
