Qualifications

Position: Inventory Material Handler (weekends)

Location: Ogden, UT

Duration: Long-term

Pay Rate: $19.00

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inventory associate to accurately perform daily cycle counts, review and trouble-shoot inventory transaction issues, and working closely with Manufacturing and Shipping to correct issues.

We seek someone who brings unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position, and who has exceptional math and observation skills. The inventory associate will participate in all activities related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies, and products. The goal is to maintain storage facilities, ensure the accuracy of inventory records, and partake in put aways and counts of all products.

Our Inventory associate will work closely with their supervisor to prevent losses. A successful inventory specialist should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, be good at basic math, have great attention to detail, and have excellent physical stamina.

This role will report to the Inventory Supervisor in Ogden, UT. Friday through Monday, 6:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Maintains inventory systems; facilitates updates to related databases and/or software under the direction of the inventory supervisor.
  • Ability to properly prioritize workload.
  • Communicate with other departments.
  • Receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies, and products.
  • Conducts frequent spot checks and daily audits of physical inventory.
  • Use pallet jacks to put away finished goods in the appropriate location and consolidate.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Assist in training less experienced inventory workers.
  • Operates forklift when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
Requirements
Required skills and qualifications:
  • 1 year in a warehouse/ manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of word and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is essential in this position.
  • In-depth understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Good understanding of quality control principles.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to develop ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant walking, standing, and working on feet (10hr shift). On average 15,000 to 25,000 steps a day.
  • Consistently perform repetitive actions that entail frequent grasping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and pivoting.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect products produced.
  • Consistently stretch/ reach with both hands and arms.
  • This position works in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Temperatures vary with outdoor conditions and may be hot in summer and cold in winter.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
