Job summary

TA Services in Greenwood, IN seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee daily warehouse stock, ensure system accuracy, and implement control measures. This role requires strong data entry, cycle counts, and collaboration with operations to maintain supply integrity.

You will drive continuous improvements using Lean principles, monitor performance with WMS/ERP and MS Access, and support safety and compliance. Flexibility for extended hours may be needed to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory control operations and ensure system accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies and continuous improvements.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies including cycle counts and reconciliation with customers/plants.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and stock, including receiving and reporting.
  • Promote safety, maintain required certifications (PIV), and ensure compliance.

Job Description

Location: Greenwood, IN warehouse (travel to Columbus until August for training)

Days and Shift Information
  • Monday–Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (1st shift)
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all inventory control operations, including executing control measures and ensuring system accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies, while maintaining accurate procedures and continuous process improvements.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, including cycle counts, reporting, and reconciliation with customers/plants.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and stock, including receiving, managing abnormal issues, and maintaining accurate daily reporting.
  • Support operational excellence and compliance, promoting safety standards, adhering to policies, and maintaining required certifications (PIV).
Work Environment
  • Fast‑paced warehouse environment
  • Physical activity required, including lifting up to 33 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a demanding and dynamic setting
  • At times, the temperature may be very hot or cold due to the climate.

Pay/Benefits/Perks
  • Hourly Rate: $21.20/hour
  • Accrue up to five days PTO in first year
  • Two weeks’ vacation plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary
