Job summary

Meijer is looking for a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and ready for customers. You will handle food and grocery products, move items to correct locations, and maintain backroom cleanliness while supporting store leadership to meet timelines.

The role emphasizes a friendly customer experience, teamwork, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Able to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
