Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a dedicated Inventory and Operations Associate to manage store-wide inventory, pricing, and reporting while ensuring excellent customer service. The role supports front-end and pharmacy inventory, performs shelf equity tasks, and assists in daily store operations and security processes.

Responsibilities include scanning deliveries, posting pharmacy orders, maintaining planograms, and helping to prepare for physical inventory days.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of prior retail work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.

Responsibilities

• Executes, monitors, and trains inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store including front end and pharmacy.
• Reviews and coordinates use of reports and system applications impacting on-hand balances and pricing.
• Executes and maintains front end and pharmacy asset protection, including claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Opens and closes the store in absence of management, including cash handling and ensuring readiness for business day.
• Engages customers, greets, assists with products and services, resolves issues as leader on duty.
• Coaches team on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, receiving, counting, and ordering.
• Scans deliveries, marks as received, and coordinates with vendors for past undelivered receipts.
• Under pharmacist-in-charge supervision, verifies all pharmacy shipments, postings, and recalls.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end for planogrammed departments, including disposals and vendor returns.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory activities and postings; reports shortages or damaged products.
• Performs pricing activities and ensures correct signage and regulatory pricing tasks.
• Supports front end and pharmacy ordering by placing expense item orders and monitoring excess orders.
• Maintains accurate on-hand inventories across departments and holding areas.
• Ensures compliance with state/local laws for regulated products.
