Job summary

Amentum is seeking a warehouse/inventory associate in California to support receiving, storage, and stock control activities. You will count, weigh, and verify items, assemble kits, and participate in inventories and safety procedures.

The role requires lifting up to 45 pounds, routine use of bar code wands and scanners, and adherence to security protocols. Strong English communication and availability for varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be physically capable of lifting 45 pounds, standing on stepladders, and reaching overhead.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license to operate Government motorized equipment/vehicles.
• Position may require travel.
• Must pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and urinary analysis.
• Must be available for any shift, weekends and other hours.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
• Receives incoming items and annotates basic information on receiving, shipping, and storage documents.
• Assembles tools/parts into kits.
• Conducts assigned portions of inventories using scanning equipment and terminals.
• Alerts supervision to storage issues, discrepancies, or damage to stock.
• Examines stock for conformance to specifications and documentation.
• Turns in excess or unserviceable items as required.
• Completes stock, issuance, transfer, and return records.
• Stores articles according to identifying information.
• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Performs PMCS and lock out/tag out procedures; reports equipment issues.
• Prepares periodic or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
• Operates tools and equipment as approved.
• Compiles reports on stock handling and inventory discrepancies.
