Job summary

Allied Seed in Nampa, ID is seeking an Inventory Specialist to prepare manufacturing work orders from creation to posting, and to print seed tags and pallet labels for warehouse staff.

You will monitor inventories using FIFO, enter seed samples, test data in the ERP system, and oversee seed transfers and scale tickets to ensure accurate records. Collaboration with Customer Care and Logistics is essential.

Qualifications

• Normally requires a college degree in business or the equivalent and 1+ year of related logistics experience.
• Experience with seed production or inventory in agricultural supply is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manufacturing work orders from creation of workorder to posting of completed workorder.
• Create and print seed tags and pallet labels along with printed work orders to be sent to warehouse staff.
• Monitor inventories in accordance with FIFO practices.
• Enter and file seed samples, request germ tests as needed and enter tests into company ERP system.
• Enter scale tickets for seed received, enter transfers and oversee transfers of seed.
• Maintain working knowledge of company ERP system.
• Crosstrain with other Inventory Specialist staff to provide uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work well with other teams to include but not limited to Warehouse, Customer Care and Logistics.
• Follows Allied Seed’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. Environmental Health and Safety, OHSA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
