Job summary

Socket.dev in Appleton, WI is seeking a Materials/Procurement Coordinator to act as the liaison between manufacturing teams and suppliers. You will support procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials, issue POs, and perform cycle counts while driving process improvements.

The role requires an associate degree in a related field, supply chain experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

  • Must have an associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education.
  • Previous materials, supply chain experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to read bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.
  • Strong computer skills; computer skills using Magic, Macola, Windows, Word, Excel and Intranet are required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer service to expedite shipments as needed for the business
  • Support activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials
  • Issue POs/releases to suppliers.
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Manage and implement ECO’s while minimizing impact to Manufacturing
  • Manage NCN’s and coordinate the disposition of rejected materials with suppliers.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventory
  • Support maintenance of MRD systems
  • Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).
  • Work collectively within the PSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices within our businesses.
  • Must be able to back up team members for vacation days and be willing to work with team on vacation scheduling.
  • Leadership of relevant materials projects as needed.

Job Description:

BASIC DESCRIPTION:

Be the primary liaison and communication connection between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support all supply chain activities for the PSD Division. The individual will be responsible for all supply chain activities in the PSD division to include continual involvement with our suppliers as well as properly collaborating with and executing ITW Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.
