Job summary

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Supply Chain/Materials person to link manufacturing teams with suppliers and support PSD division activities.

You will coordinate with the Material and Operations teams to support procurement, storage, and shipments, while driving ITW Strategic Sourcing initiatives. The role requires an associate degree (or pursuit) in SCM or related field, plus prior materials experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have an associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education.
  • Previous materials, supply chain experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to read bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.

Responsibilities

  • Expedite shipments with suppliers and customer service as needed for the business.
  • Support procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials.
  • Issue POs/releases to suppliers.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Manage ECOs while minimizing impact to Manufacturing.
  • Manage NCNs and disposition of rejected materials with suppliers.
  • Communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers.
  • Maintain MOH goals and limit non-active inventory.
  • Support maintenance of MRD systems.
  • Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).
  • Collaborate with PSD Materials Team to identify and maintain best practices.
  • Back up team members for vacation days and coordinate scheduling.
  • Lead relevant materials projects as needed.

Job Description

Be the primary liaison and communication connection between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support all supply chain activities for the PSD Division. The individual will be responsible for all supply chain activities in the PSD division to include continual involvement with our suppliers as well as properly collaborating with and executing ITW Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.

Essential Functions
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer service to expedite shipments as needed for the business
  • Support activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials
  • Issue POs/releases to suppliers.
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Manage and implement ECO’s while minimizing impact to Manufacturing
  • Manage NCN’s and coordinate the disposition of rejected materials with suppliers.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventory
  • Support maintenance of MRD systems
  • Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).
  • Work collectively within the PSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices within our businesses.
  • Must be able to back up team members for vacation days and be willing to work with team on vacation scheduling.
  • Leadership of relevant materials projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have an associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education.
  • Previous materials, supply chain experience required.

  • Ability to meet deadlines as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
