Nordic Cold Chain in Reno, NV is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage daily inventory transactions, maintain accurate records, and support production planning at the plant.

You will work closely with warehouse and production teams, perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and ensure materials are available and data integrity is maintained in our ERP/WMS system.

This is an hourly, full-time role with a M-Th 5am-3:30pm schedule, pay rate of $24/hour.

Formación

• 2–5 years in inventory control, materials, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience with inventory transactions and cycle counts.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily inventory transactions including receiving, issuing, transferring, and adjusting inventory.
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory data in the ERP/WMS system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with operations teams to resolve variances.
• Maintain proper documentation in accordance with inventory control procedures.
• Support production schedules by ensuring required materials are available and staged as needed.
• Communicate material shortages, inventory risks, or discrepancies to supervisors and planning teams.
• Assist with monitoring inventory levels to avoid stockouts, overages, or obsolete material.
• Help align inventory activity with production and shipping needs.
• Work closely with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Serve as a point of contact for inventory-related questions on the plant floor.
• Escalate inventory issues and concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory reporting, including accuracy and variance tracking.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, organization, and accuracy.
