Fairview is looking for an Inventory Specialist I to work at our St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This is a full time (80 hours per pay period) position, day shift Monday - Friday. We believe the hours for this position will be 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
The Inventory Specialist I is responsible for the adjustment of inventory levels of stock and nonstock supplies/equipment/linen. Analyze and monitor inventory levels. Consider labor and acquisition costs in resolving appropriate par levels for efficient inventory management. Maintain, verify and update receiving and distribution records and supplies. Provide communication to all customers regarding changes and updates to product descriptions, number, and units of measure, stock additions and deletions. Provide strong leadership in guiding and supporting department managers in appropriate inventory control to manage costs and meet department fluctuations. Works directly with vendors, suppliers, front line staff, customers, and managers. Serve as subject matter authority on Inventory and Procurement portions of MMIS. Recommend process improvements.

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Nursing or Related field preferred
American Production and Inventory Control Society, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Lean, Value Analysis preferred
Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional preferred
2 years inventory management in healthcare preferred
