Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage front end and pharmacy inventory, pricing, and order processes. You will lead store team activities, ensure proper receiving, scanning, and posting of deliveries, and train staff on inventory best practices.

In this role, you will handle shelf availability, vendor returns, recalls, and pricing tasks while maintaining accurate on-hand counts.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and execute.
• Experience identifying operational issues and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes including but not limited to creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
• Scans in all deliveries while the vendor is still in the store, including common carrier deliveries.
• Verifies all pharmacy shipments are posted for products physically received at the store under the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end process including warehouse and direct store delivery for planogrammed departments.
• Completes pharmacy inventory activities including recalls, vendor returns, non-controlled, and damaged salvage returns under the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Completes pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, and markdowns deletes; maintains accurate pricing and signage.
• Supports front end and pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items and monitoring pharmacy orders for excess.
• Registers all related sales on assigned POS when leader on duty, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, and refunds.
