Job summary

Vail Health is seeking an organized Inventory Specialist to support clinical teams by ensuring supplies are accurate and available. You’ll be part of the Supply Chain team in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or with others, and willingness to learn new digital systems within 90 days. The position offers full-time hours and shift 6am–2:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in healthcare, supply chain, or materials management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
  • Must be able to learn and use computers and digital systems within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through restocking, cycle counting, and inventory control for assigned areas.
  • Review supply needs, prevent overstocking, and help ensure efficient product turnover.
  • Conduct physical counts and investigate inventory discrepancies—updating systems as needed.
  • Process supply deliveries by verifying quantities, expiration dates, and physical condition.
  • Respond to supply and equipment requests—both routine and urgent with prompt, professional service.
  • Inspect equipment and supplies for expiration, recalls, or defects, and report any issues.
  • Help manage bi-annual physical inventories and assist with reporting for supply tracking.
  • Keep all supply areas clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout daily operations.
  • Propose new ideas and assist with department initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all work.

This position is Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm.

What You’ll Do

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
Hourly Pay:
$20.67—$24.37 USD
