Job summary

Quantum Services, Traverse City, is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our regional field auditing team. You will travel with a small crew to perform in-store physical inventory audits across Northern Michigan, starting early at 7:00 AM and earning $22/hour plus fully paid travel time.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off, comprehensive benefits, and overtime pay for extended routes or overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Must pass Background (BGC) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Active personal auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Travel with a 2–3 person team to conduct physical inventory audits in stores across Northern Michigan.
• Audit stock across sales floors, stockrooms, and walk-in coolers using handheld keypads.
• Reconcile inventory counts and review reports with store managers after audits.
• Carpool daily along regional routes and adhere to schedule.

What You’ll Do

Travel as part of a supportive 2–3 person team along regional routes to conduct physical inventory audits inside convenience stores and retail locations across Northern Michigan.

• Audit stock across sales floors, stockrooms, and walk-in coolers using handheld digital keypads.

• Reconcile inventory counts and review summary reports with store managers upon completion.

• Carpool daily along assigned regional routes.

Schedule & Route Details

• Early Morning Kickoffs: On-site audit work begins at 7:00 AM. Departure times vary based on route distance (all drive time is fully paid at $22/hr).

• Weekly Hours: Averages 36–42 hours per week (auditing + travel time combined).

• Occasional Travel Opportunities: Seasonal overnight route travel (e.g., Mackinac area ~4 weeks total per year) provided with 2–4 weeks' advance notice, full hotel coverage, and overtime pay ($33/hr).

Requirements

• Vehicle & Screenings: Valid Driver’s License, active personal auto insurance, reliable personal transportation, and ability to pass standard Background (BGC) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.

• Physical Readiness: Comfort standing, bending, stooping, climbing short step-ladders, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working briefly in cool storage environments (walk-in coolers).

• Reliability: Punctuality for early morning departures and a collaborative team mindset.
