Baptist Health Care, Inc. in Pensacola is seeking an Inventory Specialist (SCIS) to manage daily purchasing and supply chain logistics for deployed areas, ensuring stock and non-stock medical supplies are available for surgical services, cath labs, and related departments.
You will coordinate with vendors, maintain MMIS data integrity, and support efficient ordering, pricing accuracy, and FIFO storage practices to meet contract obligations.
The Inventory Specialist (SCIS) is responsible for the daily activities relating to purchasing and supply chain logistics for the deployed area to which they are assigned. The area may include Baptist Hospital surgical services, Baptist Hospital surgical outpatient, Baptist Hospital cath lab, Gulf Breeze surgical services, Gulf Breeze cath lab or the warehouse on the main campus. If assigned to a department, the SCIS will ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment for that department (stock and non-stock). Adheres to contract obligations, including, but not limited to, group purchasing organization. The SCIS possesses excellent communication and management skills and meets with sales representatives as needed for instruments, equipment and supplies.
