Andrewsinstitute is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician I to utilize surgical instrumentation knowledge for the operating room and procedural areas. This is a full-time evening position in Pensacola, Florida, requiring duties such as cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and maintaining knowledge of current certifications.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and preferably 1-3 years of sterile processing experience. The role requires strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
The Sterile Processing Technician I utilizes surgical instrumentation knowledge to provide the correct instrumentation for the operating room and other procedural areas. This position works to disassemble, clean, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments, and supplies. This position works primarily in the SPD area but may be competent to work in a surgical technician position.
