Job summary

Ranpak, located in Ohio, seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to partner with Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure inventory accuracy and availability. You will perform cycle counts, audits, and ERP reconciliations while driving continuous improvements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in inventory control, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This on-site role offers growth and stability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or materials management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and variance investigations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory availability and alignment with operational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze inventory data to support inventory planning and replenishment strategies.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review inventory transactions and ensure inventory balances are accurately maintained within the ERP system.
  • Reconcile inventory variances and process inventory adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including product locations, lot tracking, and item identification.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and execution of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Support annual physical inventory activities and audit preparation.
  • Evaluate inventory performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor inventory aging and identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and transacted.
  • Assist with inventory-related projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to identify, analyze, and resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Qualifications
