Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training staff on inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensures On-Shelf Availability and manages inventory processes, including planogram validation.
- Reviews and coordinates reports and system applications affecting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Implements and maintains asset protection techniques, files claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, may open and close the store, handle cash, and ensure readiness for business.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers, offers assistance, and resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Models customer service best practices, including greeting, courtesy, proactive help, and service satisfaction.
Operations
- Coaches team on inventory management processes, including creating and receiving orders.
- Manages deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and verifies pharmacy shipments with supervision.
- Executes On-Shelf Availability processes, vendor returns, and pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls and damage reports.
- Performs pricing activities, updates prices, and maintains signage accuracy.
- Supports ordering, inventory counts, compliance with laws, and physical inventory preparations.
- Maintains store cleanliness, system knowledge, and package delivery activities.
- When acting as leader on duty, manages POS transactions, returns, refunds, and cash handling.
- Adheres to policies, maintains respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Participates in training, completes e-learning modules, and maintains necessary licenses/certifications.
Communications
- Acts as liaison for inventory system training, communicates tasks, and reports issues to management.
Qualifications
- Six months of Walgreens experience or one year retail experience.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Positive performance reviews and no recent disciplinary actions (internal candidates).
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, operational problem-solving skills.
