Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training on inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensures On-Shelf Availability and manages all in-store inventory processes, validating planogram accuracy.
- Reviews and coordinates reports and system applications to ensure accurate front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Implements and maintains asset protection techniques, files claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, opens and closes the store in the absence of management, handling system start-ups, cash responsibilities, and store readiness.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers, offers assistance, and resolves issues to ensure a positive experience. Shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive service experience.
Operations
- Coaches team on inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders. Manages deliveries, including scan-in and issue resolution.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments and postings, manages pharmacy inventory activities, and executes planogram and inventory processes, including disposals and vendor returns.
- Supports pricing activities and maintains accurate inventory counts across departments and stock areas.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with laws regarding regulated products and supports physical inventory preparations.
- Supports store systems, equipment, and package delivery activities, including returns and the Pickup Program.
- In designated stores, manages POS transactions, records, and customer refunds when serving as leader on duty.
Training & Personal Development
- Attends training sessions, completes e-learning modules, and maintains necessary certifications or licenses.
Communications
- Acts as a liaison for team communication, coaching, and reporting issues to management.
Qualifications
- Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
- Fluent in English; willingness to work flexible hours.
- Positive performance reviews and no recent disciplinary actions (internal candidates).
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and operational problem-solving skills.
