Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Champions On-Shelf Availability and is responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms.
- Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which impact the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
- Responsible for executing and maintaining front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, as required, opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance. When serving as the leader on duty, resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
- Executes and coaches team members on inventory management processes including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
- Scans all deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes appropriate actions for delivery accuracy.
- Verifies pharmacy shipments and completes pharmacy inventory activities under supervision.
- Completes On-Shelf Availability (OSA) processes, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, vendor returns, and inventory counts.
- Performs pricing activities and maintains accurate department pricing and signage.
- Supports ordering processes for front end and pharmacy.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts and compliance with laws.
- Prepares for physical inventory and supports related activities.
- Maintains store systems and equipment knowledge.
- Supports package delivery activities and the Walgreens Pickup Program.
- Handles sales registration and related POS activities when serving as the leader on duty.
- Follows company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attends training sessions and completes e-learning modules, including safety training.
- Maintains valid pharmacy license/certification as required.
Communications
- Coaches team members on inventory systems, communicates tasks, and reports issues to management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Good attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Experience in operational issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, or customer service associate.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
