Job summary

National Wire LLC in Conroe, TX is seeking an Inventory Clerk to track and manage incoming and outgoing materials, maintain accurate counts, and support production with timely replenishment.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, experience in manufacturing inventory or warehousing, and knowledge of ERP or warehouse systems; CPIM/CIME preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ERP or inventory management software.
  • Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Track materials entering and leaving the facility.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials.
  • Issue materials per weekly production schedule.
  • Maintain inventory counts and monthly audits.
  • Monitor material levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Lead monthly inventory counts and reconcile differences.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas.
  • Enter material transactions in ERP and train users.
  • Coordinate materials for shipping or internal distribution.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and safety rules.
  • Establish daily inbound/outbound procedures and checks.

Job Details: Job Location: National Wire LLC - Conroe, TX 77301, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Operatives, Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track all materials coming into and going out of the facility.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming raw materials.
  • Issue materials to employees, departments, and plants based on production weekly schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and records / audits monthly schedule.
  • Monitor raw material levels and identify shortages or discrepancies, coordinate with production planner and propose to leadership team refills.
  • Lead monthly company full inventory counts and reconcile differences, present results to the leadership team.
  • Re design, Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
  • Enter and update material transactions in the ERP system. Train plants and employees about scanning and clear with IT any disruptions
  • Coordinate materials for shipment or internal distribution with shipping team.
  • Follow company procedures for inventory control, safety, and documentation.
  • Build and follow daily systematic procedure for inbound raw material, plants fulfillment and end of the day balances, and outbounds controls check to guarantee inventory is clearly identified in the system and in yard / plants / trucks.
Qualifications: Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years Previous inventory, warehouse, material handling, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Inventory Management Expert (CIME) preferred.
Skills Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately track material coming in and going out.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to use inventory management or warehouse tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to perform inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand material documentation, labels, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
  • Ability to safely handle and organize materials in a warehouse or storage environment.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly lift, carry, pull and push 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Regularly squat, stoop, bend at waist, turn at waist to complete function above.
  • Occasional climbing.
  • Able to wear required PPE such as but not limited to: steel toe boots, gloves, safety glasses and hard-hat.
