Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar group, invites you to join our Central Distribution Center in Maryland as Inventory Control Returns Specialist. You will manage all inventory return activities—stock, non-stock, defective, and damaged materials—ensuring accurate processing, documentation, and disposition while coordinating with Operations, Warehouse, Purchasing, Accounting, Sales and Distribution.

Qualifications

• Motivate and foster teamwork among a distribution team.
• Train, coach, and provide performance feedback.
• Advanced knowledge of software including Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS (Eclipse preferred).
• Ability to analyze moderately complex data.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• 3–5+ years Fulfillment/Distribution and Inventory Control experience, with at least 1 year in leadership.
• Ability to work on varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate stock returns at the Central Distribution Center (CDC).
• Handle returns of defective inventory.
• Manage non-stock returns to manufacturers via RGAs.
• Prioritize daily stock returns from the service area.
• Maintain accurate records of return transactions and support documentation.
• Ensure returned inventory is properly identified and dispositioned.
• Manage designated Stock/Non-Stock/Damaged/Defective Returns areas.
• Support cycle count activities for accuracy.
• Support Outbound Freight picking and shipping.
• Assist with scrap wire tracking and documentation.
• Perform other tasks as directed by Supervisors/Managers.
• Ability to operate forklift or become forklift-certified.
