Job summary

Medeco Security Locks in Salem, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments, verify contents, and update inventory using JD Edwards. You will organize stockroom locations, load/unload trucks, and support audits while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in inventory control techniques in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating forklift and other powered lifts.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards or similar inventory systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and quality.
• Verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Record and update inventory levels in the JD Edwards system.
• Organize and store received items in designated stockroom locations.
• Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
• Collaborate with purchasing to address discrepancies.
• Assist with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
