Job summary

Medeco Security Locks in Salem, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to process products for shipment and ensure timely, accurate delivery to customers.

You will receive shipments, organize the shipping area, and train team members while maintaining 5S and safety. This is a full-time, on-site position with first shift, offering competitive pay and opportunities to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to move between workstations and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming product for shipment and ensure timely and accurate shipment to customers via UPS, truck line, overnight, or other methods.
• Organize product and shipping area; become familiar with shipping needs.
• Train team members and serve as liaison for shipping questions and issue resolution.
• Work overtime as needed to maintain daily on-time delivery.
• Maintain 5S and proactively improve safety and processes.
• Perform additional duties to ensure smooth product flow and adherence to company policies.
