Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement across the store. You will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, and replenish floor stock while maintaining safety and organization.

You will use scan guns and inventory systems, follow SOPs, and help with store-to-store transfers, UPS shipments, and pricing verification.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience required.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate PO, DC, and vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and rack organization.
