Job summary

Steel Dynamics Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to safely offload deliveries, load and store parts, and enter inventory into the CMMS. You’ll use a forklift and a Class II Reach to move items, identify packages, and assist coworkers at the parts counter.

The role requires accuracy, basic Excel/Outlook, strong problem solving, multitasking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Preferred knowledge includes MRO inventory management.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail: Accuracy is imperative.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Outlook software.
• Strong ability to problem solve and multitask.
• Self-starter and capable typing and ten-key skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive and issue warehouse inventory into/out of system.
• Offload receiving with forklift and use Class II Reach daily.
• Identify incoming packages and communicate with owners.
• Assist employees and contractors retrieving deliveries.
• Assist employees needing parts and supplies and with returns.
• Prepare items for shipment and provide vacation coverage when needed.
