Job summary

Lane Automotive in Watervliet, MI is hiring a Receiving Equipment Operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 1:00pm–11:30pm). The role focuses on stocking, replenishment, put-away, and bin maintenance using manual and powered material handling equipment.

You will verify counts, communicate discrepancies to leadership, consolidate space, and participate in cycle counts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a forklift license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Powered Industrial Truck License required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Stock product within storage locations in a neat and orderly manner to avoid damage and/or lost products.
• Perform replenishments and put away functions as directed by I-Pod device.
• Verify accurate counts and accurate locations.
• Handle errors: communicate them to Lead/Manager and ensure paperwork and product is handled correctly, completely, and promptly.
• Consolidate product to maximize space utilization.
• Participate in routine cycle counts.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Meet and maintain accuracy and productivity level requirements.
• Partake in overall housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
