Job summary

The St. Louis Area Foodbank is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to ensure accurate data and reporting for inventory management.

You will handle inbound freight inspection, data entry, and multiple warehouse systems in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of warehouse/inventory experience, forklift certification readiness, and strong Microsoft Office/ERP familiarity; ability to work independently and in a team is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
• OSHA safety knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Past data entry and web-based system experience preferred.
• Strong time management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Non-profit experience preferred; drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight and visually inspect, document temperature for frozen/refrigerated items.
• Enter data and generate invoices/shipping labels using Microsoft Dynamics; CERES 5.1 is used.
• Create USDA receipts in Web-Based SCM to document government product receipt.
• Coordinate storage and rotation of products safely and efficiently.
• Label, store, and rotate items with internal teams; remove obsolete stock as directed.
• Escalate quality or inventory discrepancies to Operations management.
• Provide daily inventory reports to Operations management.
• Conduct physical counts and report discrepancies promptly.
• Identify root causes of discrepancies and suggest process improvements.
• Follow food safety and equipment safety policies; model safe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
