Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Storeroom/Receiver to manage inventory across dining halls, offices, and retail locations. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, inspecting items, storing them properly, and ensuring accurate stock records with FIFO rotation.

You'll work with store managers and vendors to resolve discrepancies, maintain clean storage areas and equipment, and support daily operations while upholding health, safety, and security standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions from multiple managers and supervisors.
• Ability to work in a group/team and function efficiently.
• Follow unit safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe and Allertrain certificates within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Inspect items for damage and discrepancies and store properly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in storerooms, warehouses, and coolers.
