Job summary

MnDOT in Marshall, Minnesota is seeking a Transportation Materials Technician to handle purchasing and inventory management of department materials on a day shift, Monday–Friday. The role requires experience with materials management systems and proficiency in Excel/Word, plus a Minnesota Class D driver’s license.

The candidate will perform procurement activities, manage fixed assets and disbursements, and ensure compliance with the Materials Management Plan in an onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Experience researching heavy equipment/automotive parts and/or construction materials.
• Experience establishing and evaluating product comparison data for purchasing inventory (quote/bid).
• Experience with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide purchasing and inventory management of MnDOT materials.
• Manage fixed assets, contract administration, specifications, disposal, and parts, supplies, equipment and materials disbursement within the Materials Management Plan.
