Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a contract-based role in Lima, OH to manage daily operations related to parts, inventories, and shipping logistics. You will review inventories, track part status, and coordinate with plants and customers to minimize shortages while prioritizing shipments.

Responsibilities include expediting parts, maintaining CMMS records, and supporting lean principles with strong MS Office skills. This onsite opportunity offers comprehensive benefits and a deadline of Aug 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing assembly and machining experience desired.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Safety and MP&L experience a plus.
• Knowledge of constraint management principles.
• Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Review morning inventories for potential criticals.
• Check part status for all customers.
• Check parts owed to plants and coordinate shipments.
• Analyze and prepare expedites needed for plants.
• Review all customers using the same part and prioritize shipments.
• Prepare shippers for early trucks and print Pick lists at shipping office.
• Add shortage parts to the Critical list.
• Coordinate die sets and changeover with Scheduling.
• Review Rack Status and Daily Rack Inventory for shortages.
• Enter outbound shipments into OBL.
• Review car manifests in CMMS to find required racks.
• Check TSAA for overdue rail cars or inbound trucks.
• Review for critical shortages from plant startup.
• Inform customers via CMMS about parts in transit status.
• Check all customers for CUM disagreements.
• Respond to part shortages promptly.
• Monitor part statuses at customers in CMMS and update as needed.
• Review Service parts requirements for coming week.
• Monitor shipping progress (Service ships over several days).

• Monitor shipping progress (Service ships over several days)

Minimum Requirements

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lima, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $28.90/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
