Job summary

MISUMI Americas is seeking an Inventory Planning Manager to own the strategy and decision‑making for the inventory function. You will set replenishment parameters, govern MTO transitions, and lead dead stock reduction programs across SKU categories.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Data Management, IT, and Finance to translate strategy into actionable guidance while driving inventory health and value selling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in inventory management, supply chain operations, or category management.
• Demonstrated ownership of inventory strategy and P&L outcomes: dead stock reduction, working capital improvement, or fill rate performance.
• Strong command of inventory planning principles: safety stock, reorder points, MTO/MTS switching, demand forecasting, and SKU lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory strategy and replenishment decisions across SKU categories.
• Lead dead stock reduction programs and monthly health reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Data Management, and IT.
• Ensure actions align with Distribution Curation & Value Selling Strategy; provide health data and recommendations.
