Rocksbox is seeking an Inventory Planner to enhance omnichannel capabilities. This role involves inventory management for both eCommerce and physical stores, requiring expertise in data analysis and strategic planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in informing product strategies and optimizing inventory flow.
Rocksbox is looking for a data driven, detail oriented inventory planner who is excited to help build our omnichannel capabilities from the ground up. You will be responsible for accelerating Rocksbox's business through the strategic management of inventory across both eCommerce and brick and mortar store locations, optimizing sales and inventory turn in accordance with company sales goals. This will include managing category plans, forecasting open to buys, assortment strategy, sales analysis, product lifecycle planning, and merchandise support.This role is a critical part of Rocksbox's growth strategy, and you'll be working with a committed and collaborative team. You'll have the chance to impact every department, understand how all the pieces fit together, and learn and grow quickly.This position is open remotely - with candidates preferably in PST.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop accurate pre-season forecasts for sales, margin, and inventory that align with merchandising strategies and financial goals, presented in monthly open-to-buy meetingsFacilitate weekly reporting in-season to track performance against expectations, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to cross-functional teamsMaximize profitability by SKU through evaluating sales performance, optimizing top sellers, and managing markdown strategiesEvaluate replenishment needs for all channels (including eCommerce and stores) and manage inventory levels by SKU by location in order to minimize lost sales due to out of stock inventoryDetermine item level order quantities and flow strategies in partnership with Production to ensure timely and accurate execution of purchase ordersAnalyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities for sales, margin, and inventory turn, and recommend solutions and alternatives to leadershipComplete ad hoc / deep dive analyses and proactively seek opportunities that will drive bottom line resultsPartner with merchandising and marketing teams on monthly promotional cadence to maximize profitability and achieve financial targetsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS : 2+ years in retail inventory planning or related roles preferred.
