Job summary

RS Americas, based in Texas, seeks an Inventory Planner to manage daily inventory planning and purchase-order delivery with supplier partners. You will collaborate with Sales, Suppliers, Product Management and Demand Planners to optimize stock, costs, and service levels.

Responsibilities include reviewing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and maintaining real-time PO updates. The role emphasizes data-driven cost analytics and cross-functional teamwork to drive efficient supply chain

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in inventory management or supply chain role.
• Understand end-to-end Supply Chain Planning.
• Link forecasting and demand planning to cost and service.
• Set objectives and scope tasks with clarity.
• Operate through systems using best-practice methods.
• Communicate effectively (verbal, written, listening).
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
• Perform basic analytical functions.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers.
• Prioritize tasks to focus on critical activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory planning and PO delivery for defined supplier partners.
• Review, approve, and release purchase orders.
• Analyze costs to support revenue and margin targets.
• Collaborate with Sales, Suppliers, Product Managers and Demand Planners.
• Maintain PO schedule by Vendor with Demand Planning.
• Review customer orders to optimize purchasing and inventory levels.
• Work with Sales, Operations, Finance to resolve PO opportunities.
• Monitor and expedite open POs to meet delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with teams to expedite orders and support dropship and general orders.
• Provide inventory analysis and assist with discrepancy issues as needed.
