Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Inventory Planner in Redmond, WA, to support a high-mix, low-volume production environment. You will manage cycle counting, receive components, issue work orders, and maintain shadow boxes on the production floor, collaborating with material handlers and engineers to ensure accuracy and availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials control, inventory, or related operations.
• Experience supporting a high-mix, low-volume production floor.
• Clear communication across cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a start-up style environment and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Manage cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive material bags from warehouses and verify components.
• Issue and track work orders for materials and sub-assemblies.
• Inspect sub-assemblies for accuracy and quality.
• Label and maintain shadow boxes for easy access to components.
• Collaborate with material handlers, planners, engineers, and technicians.
• Identify material flow issues and propose improvements.
• Use Excel to create forms and analyze inventory data.
• Begin to utilize AI tools to improve processes and reports.
• Demonstrate ownership and drive continuous improvement.
