Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in Pennsylvania is seeking an Inventory Planner to support raw material and finished goods inventory management at our manufacturing and warehouse facility.

You will help ensure a continuous flow to support production schedules and service demand, collaborating with procurement, production, and logistics teams. The role emphasizes accuracy across systems, cycle counts, LIFO/FIFO compliance, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a supply chain, inventory, or similar role.
  • Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories for accuracy.
  • Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with quality on red tag or off-spec materials.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory status and KPIs.

Job Summary

The Inventory Planner is responsible for supporting the management of raw material and finished goods inventory within the manufacturing and warehouse facility. This role ensures a continuous and efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules and service demand. The Inventory Planner will collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure inventory is accurate and controlled systematically.

Essential Duties
  • Monitor and report on inventory levels and on‑hand quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy between system records and physical stock.
  • Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO requirements.
  • Identify and resolve simple discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
  • Ensure inventory records are synchronized across business systems.
  • Assist in documenting and reporting shipping errors.
  • Identify and communicate obsolete, outdated, or slow‑moving inventory.
  • Collaborate with quality regarding red tag or off‑spec material to ensure adequate segregation and disposition.
  • Assist in generating regular reports on inventory status and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
  • Follow established procedures to improve inventory management processes and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a supply chain, inventory, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)

Base Salary Range: $56,000-$77,000
