Job summary

CRH Americas is seeking an organized Parts/Inventory Clerk to support APAC-AL, Inc. in Alabama. You will receive, inspect, and organize parts and supplies, maintain inventory records, and process transactions with internal teams.

The role emphasizes accurate counting, documentation, and adherence to safety standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Basic computer and inventory-system proficiency.
• Ability to accurately count, track, and document materials.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move parts and supplies as required.
• Previous experience in a construction, asphalt, equipment, maintenance, or parts environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts, materials, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.
• Issue parts, materials, and tools to employees and document all transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be reordered.
• Conduct routine and periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe parts/warehouse area.
• Label, store, and track inventory for easy location.
• Process purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and receiving documentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance, shop, purchasing, and operations on parts needs.
• Track parts used for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Return incorrect, damaged, or unused parts to vendors as needed.
• Monitor obsolete, excess, or slow-moving inventory.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining minimum and maximum inventory levels.
• Prepare inventory reports and inform on shortages and purchasing needs.
• Follow company safety policies and housekeeping standards.
