Job summary

Wesco seeks a Manager - Inventory in Orlando, FL to oversee inventory for assigned locations, optimizing investment while delivering high‑level service to customers.

You will lead EOQ and ORP adjustments, standardize attributes in purchasing and systems, and monitor reports to improve fill rate and on-time delivery while driving working capital optimization. Coaching and staff development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain or related field; Masters preferred.
• APICS or ISM certification preferred; Lean – Blue / White / Yellow preferred.
• 3 years required, 5 years preferred of increasing responsibility in inventory management.
• 3 years required of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and explain policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and adjusts order review points (ORP) and EOQ levels and makes stocking decisions.
• Standardizes and maintains inventory attributes for purchasing and inventory systems and databases.
• Monitors reports and inventory applications to achieve fill rate and on-time delivery objectives.
• Creates and executes inventory optimization plans to meet working capital objectives.
• Rationalizes and standardizes supplier base to increase utilization and purchasing leverage.
• Reviews on-time deliveries, supplier fill rates and error reports to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Uses reports and programs to monitor stocking levels, conduct branch shuffles, and minimize write-offs.
• Assists in recruitment, training and coaching of personnel; develops employees in related procedures.
