Job summary

WESCO is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager focused on Inventory Management in Macon, GA. You will lead a high-performing team, drive inventory control initiatives, and partner with sales to meet demand while improving operational efficiency.

In this fast-paced role, you will implement process improvements, monitor performance metrics, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the site. A strong leader with experience in cycle counting and WMS is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years supervision in warehouse environment; 5 years preferred.
• 1+ years supervision with inventory control and cycle counting; 5 years preferred.
• Extensive experience leading full cycle warehouse activities.
• Experience engagement with handling materials.
• Excellent computer skills and warehouse management system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a fast paced, hands-on environment.
• Lead a team of operations associates to deliver best-in-class service.
• Select, coach, counsel, and develop a team of warehouse associates, including a team lead.
• Align with sales to anticipate operational demands, build trust in operational ability, and provide exceptional service to our customers.
• Serve as a liaison and build meaningful relationships with leadership peers, sales, customer service, transportation, facilities, finance, audit teams, and other Anixter teams.
• Design and implement new procedures, prepare cost projections, lead maintenance activities and analyze site performance.
• Monitor workflow, work completed, error rates and related metrics and adjust accordingly.
• Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property; ensure compliance with all company, customer and government/regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and develop staffing plans to ensure proper staffing levels; manages labor costs, overtime and retention.
