Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is hiring an Inventory Optimization Associate in Thief River Falls, MN to optimize and manage space for current inventory across buildings, trays, shelves, and reserves with regular onsite attendance.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 1:30 pm–10:00 pm. You will work with warehouse systems and aim to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and safety on the job.

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be fluent in English.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic computer skills.
• Teamwork and a positive, proactive attitude; able to multi-task and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Gray Shelf and Case Shelf locations utilization.
• Reconfigure shelf realignment and re-home products to maximize space.
• Test new processes for WM locations and recommend space configurations.
• Identify TE products and ensure proper utilization.
• Manage OSR item maxes and re-home or remove overstocked items.

Product Distribution Roles

• Full-Time Day Shift - $21.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Full-Time Evening/Overnight Shift - $24.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $3.00 shift differential)
• Full-Time 3-12 Shift – $23.34 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $2.34 allowance for the 36 for 40 schedule)
• Part-Time - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Seasonal Day Shift - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Seasonal Evening Shift - $23.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $3.00 shift differential)

Position Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The Inventory Optimization Associate helps optimize and manage space for current inventory. This role will maintain inventory space with responsibilities for buildings, trays, shelves, and reserve utilizations.

This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Gray Shelf and Case Shelf locations utilization.
  • Reconfigure gray shelf and case shelf realignment as a result of the executed project.
  • Put away product as needed as a result of the executed project.
  • Re-home product based on the best utilization of space.
  • Recognize and recommend new space configurations.
  • Test new process flows for new WM locations.
• TE utilization.
  • Identify and qualify “TE” products as needed as a result of the executed project.
• Inventory
  • Identify and changing active maxes on items that have too much stock in the OSR.
  • Removing iLPN’s from the OSR that’s has over stock in the OSR.
  • Re-homing iLPN’s to other areas to better utilize space.
  • Fixing iLPN’s with issues when removing or rehoming.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills
• Ability to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals
• Ability to provide a positive, professional and enthusiastic outlook or perspective
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
• Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success

Physical Requirements

• Able to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
• May move/stand on concrete throughout 8–10-hour shift
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height

Compensation

The starting base pay rate for this position is:

$20.00

This position may also be eligible for shift, skill, and/or team lead pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.
